Definitions

Trusted contact — A person you have approved to exchange jobs and trust messages with in estiM8r. Nothing arrives from someone until you approve them. You can remove them at any time.

Identity card — The introduction your phone sends when you connect with someone. It includes the name you chose, and the keys needed so they can recognise and verify you. That name is personal information: you define it; it is how people identify you in estiM8r. No name, contacts or other personal data is pulled from your iPhone — you type the name yourself.

Job — A saved scan: measurements, mesh, pins, and any photos or voice notes you attached.

Sealed file (.estim8r) — A job encrypted so only the intended Trusted contact can open it. AiOC cannot read the contents.

Export — Anything you save or share outside the sealed .estim8r format (for example PDF, CSV, text, OBJ, STL, USDZ, PLY). Once exported, integrity and privacy are no longer guaranteed by estiM8r, and those files cannot be brought back in for collaboration.

What stays on your device

Jobs, mesh, pins, notes, photos taken in the app, GPS tags and your Trusted contact list are stored in the app. They are not synced to iCloud as a backup of your job library.

Your private keys stay in the iOS Keychain on that device.

How things travel

1. In-app delivery (Trusted contacts)
When you send a job, identity card or trust request in the app, your phone places it in a delivery mailbox operated for estiM8r (via Apple CloudKit). The recipient's app collects it.

If an item is never collected, your phone normally deletes it after 30 days. Invite codes expire after 14 days.

2. You send a link or code yourself (Messages, Mail, etc.)
That uses your own apps. AiOC does not receive that message and does not retain it.

3. Exports you choose
Unencrypted exports may include measurements, notes, photos and mesh depending on format. Treat them as site documents. They are not sealed and cannot be re-imported for collaboration.

4. Purchases
Apple processes payments. AiOC does not receive your card details.

5. Reports you send us
If you send a bug or support report, it can include diagnostics (device model, app version, logs, crash information). We use that only to fix problems.

What AiOC does not do

We do not sell your information. We do not use the app for advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not read sealed job contents.
